RV park - open all year
We have spent many nights over the past few years at Frontier Campground. It is a small campground, nestled in beautiful trees off the beaten path. It's close enough to modern conveniences yet far enough to feel like your on vacation. The owner, Walter is friendly, helpful and provides a comfortable, safe place to stay by having the grounds under CCCT surveillance. Most of the campsites are shaded due to all the trees and if you want a beautiful, quiet place to stay then this is it! They only take weekly and monthly reservations which keeps out all the "weekend party" people and provides a more quiet family atmosphere. Just a short walk from the campground is the Spring Valley Wildlife Area which offers fishing, bird watching and wildlife of all kinds. We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape to a nice place to get away.

We stand behind Mr. Walter and his staff, they are great. they'll always work hard to make it nice and safe for all who visit. Frontier campground is a quiet clean place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We have lived this lifestyle for 11 years and have stayed at many campgrounds, frontier by far has been one of the most relaxing, cleanest places we have stayed at, so if you are looking for a nice, safe place to take your family...do not hesitate in calling frontier campground. They also have really nice cabins if you don't have an RV.

My husbands work keeps us on the road. We have been at Frontier Campground since July. We could not have ask for a nicer campground and owner Walter. I felt very comfortable and safe here while my husband was working. It's a very clean and quite place to stay. I highly recommend Frontier Campground and if we are ever back this way I would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for all the amenities, clean and quite place to stay then Frontier campground is what you are looking for.

We stayed two weeks and had great time. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were always clean. We didn't use the activity room, but it looked like lots of fun, and during the summer I'm sure the pool would be too. But being autumn we had fun on the nearby bike trail, hiking, and playing at the playground area. The campground is conveniently close to various local attractions, numerous shopping areas, yet surrounded by nature. We have a tall fifth wheel trailer and so we are often nervous about low branches, but along the road and in the campground there was plenty of clearance for our trailer to park easily and without any problems. Great place to camp!

This is a small, inexpensive, “off the beaten path” campground, with several seasonal campers and a few cabins. We stayed here based on location only, as we had business nearby, but were happy with our choice. The campground is wooded, providing plenty of shade. We visited during the “off-season,” so the campground only had a few guests and things were extremely quiet. The campground host was very accommodating and helpful. When I called to make my reservation, he helped me choose a site that would be best for my RV. When we arrived, he met us at the campground entrance, showed us to our site, and helped us park.

While we didn't have kids with us it was a very quiet place and fairly nice visit. We were there for 5 days while at Hamvention 2017 at the Fairgrounds at Xenia . After long days it sure was nice to head back to the tailor to sleep and then start the day all over. A plus was the lack of traffic in and out of the place. It was beautiful and we had nice walks after getting back in the evenings. I will stay again next year also so it was good enough for follow ups and enjoying the scenery. The surrounding areas were so well kept up and the parks were also nice.

Frontier Campground has a lot of potential and it appears the owner is working toward making improvements. This park is tucked away in the quiet of the country and while there are no actual hiking trails within the park, it bumps up against a large wildlife area that has a public lake for fishing and trails for hiking and biking.
The sites and interior roads are gravel, trees are trimmed and make for easy movement. All sites, both back-in and pull through, were naturally shaded with mature trees, but we were still able to get satellite coverage. Most sites had a picnic table, fire ring, and either a gravel or concrete patio. All sites are full hook-ups ( offers both 30 & 50 amp) and utilities were in good working order. I used the laundry room and while small (2 washers/2 dryers), it was in good working order. An added convenience is the onsite propane station.
Now the "potential" part. In addition to RV sites, the park offers log cabins, Clubhouse, basketball court, and a cute little playground - all of which could use some tender loving care to bring them back up to what I am sure once were great little attractions.

Sites are level and gravel with a lot of shade, sites are close together but enough room for slide outs....some sites have small patios and there are some permanent campers but there was no problems...we have a 36' motor home and had no problems getting around but this could be an issue when the park is full with a lot of vehicles...the owner was very friendly and helpful...they had free wifi but we never did get connected, but phone service was great, we have at&t...we picked up about 30 tv channels so that is a plus....pet friendly, nice playground for kids...the main shower house was closed for season but there was 2 other main restrooms, men and women with flush toilets and one shower stall that was clean with plenty of hot water...loved the area and would return... We camped at Frontier Campground in a Motorhome.

We stopped over one night at this campground in a 40ft rv towing a car. We called to let owner know we would not be arriving till after midnight. The gentleman gave specific instructions how to get to our site etc. To our surprise, we pulled in after a very long journey at 12:30 am to find him waiting for us with a flashlight to guide us to our site. Site was roomy pull through so we didn't even have to unhook car. We left early the next morning to go to Jungle Jim's Grocery store so we just did quick walk around. Campground was small and very clean. We went to store to let owner know we were headed out. There was note on door that he was out working in campground. When we did call him he always was very pleasant and answered right away. We would definitely use this campground again

Great park in a nice rural area. Owners making lots of improvements and are very friendly. Several large pull-thrus for big rigs. Right next to wetland wildlife area and great biking trail. We camped at Frontier Campground in a Motorhome.
